Career Vision

My goal is to build a career in sports media where I can combine writing, photography, videography and strategic communication to tell stories that extend beyond the final score. I am especially interested in highlighting the people behind sports—their backgrounds, challenges, personalities and accomplishments—in ways that are accurate, engaging and respectful. 

Through my experience as a sports writer and strategic communications intern with Chattanooga Athletics, I have developed a growing interest in both journalism and athletic communications. I enjoy covering live events, writing recaps and feature stories, creating digital content and helping audiences feel more connected to athletes and their programs. 

After graduation, I hope to work within a collegiate or professional athletic organization as a sports journalist, multimedia storyteller or strategic communications professional. Long term, I would love to contribute to larger projects such as athlete profiles, sports documentaries and creative campaigns while continuing to grow into a leadership role within sports media or athletic administration. No matter where my career takes me, I want my work to make athletes feel accurately represented and give audiences a reason to care about their stories.
